Works whose author­ship is unclear have been sub­mit­ted to the Baumeis­ter Archive—some are forg­eries, some are copies, and some are works with a sim­i­lar for­mal lan­guage. The fol­low­ing overview shows forg­eries and unrec­og­nized works with images and tech­ni­cal details. These have been exam­ined by experts. It was pos­si­ble to rule out any attri­bu­tion to Willi Baumeis­ter’s oeu­vre.

If you have a ques­tion about a work that is not yet known, you are wel­come to con­tact us and send us a scan or pho­to of the work as a first step. We will then get in touch with you and dis­cuss how and when the work can be trans­ferred to the Baumeis­ter Archive.  

The sub­mit­ter is respon­si­ble for the costs of trans­port­ing the work there and back and for insur­ing it. No costs will be charged for the appraisal. If it is an orig­i­nal work by Willi Baumeis­ter, a sup­ple­ment num­ber will be pro­vid­ed for the cor­re­spond­ing cat­a­log raison­né. 

If it is an unrec­og­nized work, it will be pub­lished on this page with­out ref­er­ence to the own­er or loca­tion.
