With the sixth volume of the Weißenhof series, Eva-Maria Seng and Michael Kimmerle conclude the series they conceived on the Weißenhof Estate in Stuttgart.
The Stuttgart Werkbund housing estate at Weißenhof, which was developed and built as part of the 1927 exhibition Die Wohnung, is a world-renowned model housing estate and a paradigmatic example of the Neues Bauen movement.
This sixth volume, published to mark the 100th anniversary of the housing estate, once again sheds light on the various approaches to the history of the Weißenhof Estate. The volume introduces key figures from this innovative era who have recently been rediscovered by researchers, such as the timber construction pioneer Konrad Wachsmann, Erna Meyer—the trailblazer in modern kitchen design—and the many textile designers who worked for Pausa in Mössingen. In addition, the media portrayal of the Weissenhof Estate—and thus its enduring influence right up to the present day—is subjected to critical scrutiny.

The sixth volume in the publication series is published by arnoldsche Art Publishers and is available in bookstores and on-site for 28 euros!
